Job based in New Malden

16 hours a week,

3 days a week (Flexible)

9:00 am - 2:30 pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

9:00 am – 2:00 pm on Thursdays

17 days holiday. Plus, bank holidays.

Salary: £9.00 per hour

You will be required to make homely Indian meals for the elderly. You will take responsibility for providing nutritious balanced meals at lunchtime which will include making chapatis. You will need to create a menu and adhere to dietary and health and safety requirements. You will work closely alongside our second cook at the day centre, also take responsibility of stock and for the overall running of the kitchen. You will also be required to keep the kitchen clean to a high standard, to write the weekly shopping list. and to complete records of food temperatures, fridge & freezer temperatures, and cleaning records.


Willingness to take Food Hygiene certificate We can provide training for Food hygiene & safety plus other training or e-learning courses.


Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.


The ability to relate and interact with elderly members


The ability to work as part of a team and follow set guidelines


Experience working to environmental standards


References required and a clear enhanced DBS (DBS will be paid for by Milaap)
